NYC: Bronx Meet-Up at Pizzaniste, a Pizzeria at Jerome Avenue with vegan options. This was a collaboration with The Bronx Vegan. (April 15, 2018)
NYC: Woodstock Farm Sanctuary trip where Veggie Mijas had their private tour with a Mexican/Italian-American Board Director, Jeannine Cicco Barker. (June 9, 2018)
NYC: The Visibility Pack Picnic. In collaboration with Safeword Society Podcast, they provided a conversation surrounding a variety of topics with their Visibility Pack. This potluck was taken place in Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn. (July 1, 2018)
Orange County: First Orange County's Vegan Potluck hosted by Ruby Ortega. The potluck was hosted in Craig Regional Park. (August 4, 2018)
NYC: Veggie Mijas' first time vending at Black Veg Fest, Bedstuy Brooklyn in collaboration with La Raza for Liberation. Veggie Mijas sold Juices such as chica and anise y piña made by Co-Founder, Mariah Bermeo, and foods such as Mushroom Fajitas made by Organizer, Ashlee Dume. Lastly, Veggie Mijas' sold their first T-Shirts. (August 11, 2018)
NYC: Vegan Panel; In collaboration with La Raza for Liberation, Veggie Mijas hosted a Vegan Panel in V-Spot Restaurant with four other amazing organizers; Woke Foods, Cilanthropia, Food Empowerment Project, and Collectively Free. (August 25, 2018)
Orange County: End of Summer Vegan Picnic Potluck hosted by Ruby Ortega and Ivonne. Picnic took place in Craig Park. (September 8, 2018)
Los Angeles: Vegan POC Potluck hosted by Melina and Melissa hosted in Vista Hermosa Park (September 29, 2018)
New York City: GreenThumb NYC has numerous of coomunity gardens and Veggie Mijas had partnered to help fix a garden in The Bronx. This took place in Green Patch on Walton, planted flowers, watered vegetables, and helped create a new look! (September 30, 2018)
Chicago: First potluck hosted by Luisa and Nancy. The potluck was taken place in Nancy's home. (October 13, 2018)
Oakland: Yoga instructor Archaa taught a class, hosted by Priscilla and Ingrid and led a wellness discussion after the session.This event took place at East Bay Community Space. (October 27, 2018)
Miami: Hosted by Tammy, organizer of the Miami Chapter. Veggie Mijas had its first poluck, that took place at her house in Downtown Miami. (November 3, 2018)
New York City: Hosted by Samantha, she taught us how to cook with essential oils and talked about the importance of them. This took place in the Bronx at her home. (November 3, 2018)
Chicago: FriendsGiving Potluck hosted by Araceli, Luisa, and Mazie. There was a short breathing exercise, acknowledgement of indigenous mourning day, the land we are on and what this day can mean for indigenous people. Lastly, we talked about turkeys being rescued and had some animal friends present! (November 24, 2018)
Syracuse: Mariah, Food and Art Educator of Syracuse Chapter organized a food workshop, in collaboration with Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York and La Liga Organization, to teach young students about the food system and what a plant-based lifestyle can look like! (November 29, 2018)
Washington D.C: First meet up in Washington D.C. organized by Chef Veronica, organizer of the D.C. chapter! The event took place in a kitchen, where prior folks went to the farmers market to pick up some ingredients! The day was filled with learning how to make vegan Salvadoran food and making new friendships. (December 15, 2018)
Miami: Seed Starting Workshop in the heart of overtown in collaboration with @thegreengoddessdiary and @beyondviewtiful. Miami Chapter planted new vegetables, flowers, and took plant medicine home. (January 13, 2019)
Philadelphia: Alicia hosted a zero-waste Sunday Brunch where folks got together to discuss reducing waste and adopting a zero waste lifestyle hosted in the A-Space Anarchist Community Center. (January 20, 2019)
Los Angeles: Organized by Melina and Melissa, they invited Emily to lead a discussion around being eco-friendly and what that means, why it is important, and to answer questions folks have about a zero-waste lifestyle! (January 26, 2019)
Washington D.C: Mindfulness & Yoga Healing led by Jamila Anahata, @thesoulfulveganista and Vanessa, @nesscarr_, organized by Veronica @veganfeastbyV (February 23, 2019).
Pheonix: First Potluck Meeting organized by Crystal @la_vegana_crystal; Topics included the challenges POC face when accommodating plant based lifestyles and what we can do to help solve those issues (February 17, 2019).
Philadelphia: Cocinando con Amor, organized by Alicia @femmepowertop; attendees submitted a special recipe for an exchange and made a potluck (February 16, 2019).
Chicago: Love & Solidarity Event organized by Araceli @wokevegana and Luisa @demira_ held to write letters of support and solidarity to brave activists in prison (February 24, 2019).

New York City: Brunch and Swap! Drank mimosas and swapped clothes followed by a delicious potluck and tips on how to shop more sustainably and received a brief educational presentation on the harmful impacts of the Fast Fashion industry on our environment.

New York City: We had a private white dinner party at @beyondsushinyc to honor amazing activists in our communities: @ysanetbatista, a queer-Black-Dominican woman, founder of @wokefoods, @dau.remedios Rosalba Lopez identifies as Mixtec and through her work with urban farming, community organizing and youth development and Cris @farmer_cris is mixed Afro-Indigena-Latinx, trans/gnc immigrant, born in Nicaragua and they teach Black & Brown students organic agriculture from seed to harvest through a social justice lens.

Boston: Vegan potluck to discuss barriers those who live in low income areas face when they are interested in switching to veganism or even adding more fresh fruits and vegetables to their diet; cultural ties to food and how many celebrations are centered around meat and how do we acknowledge and respect these celebrations while creating new traditions omiting meat and animal products; ways in which PoC are left out of mainstream spaces, our food being colonized and sold as “authentic” by white vegans.

Chicago: Chiberia is around the corner and Veggie Mijas volunteered to help make cat shelters. Volunteers learned one way of making winter feral cat shelters using affordable and minimal material. Cat shelters will be donated to a Chicago based no-kill animal shelter or attendees can choose to take the shelters home for any neighborhood cats.
